Silvio Carta was awarded with two gold medals at the 22th edition of the Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
The Sardinian winery and distillery claimed the gold medal with the Mirto Ricetta Storica and the Amaro Bomba Carta.
This year the competition has reached a record of registrations, with 1810 samples from 42 countries, grouped into different categories, offering a world tour of the spirits industry.
Since its establishment in 1999, Spirits Selection have had one mission: bringing together the top spirits and the world’s most experienced tasters, with the aim of providing all fans and connoisseurs a reliable selection of the best and most enjoyable alcoholic beverages produced on the planet.
After two consecutive editions in Brussels due to the pandemic, the 2022 Spirits Selection competition will take place from 20 to 23 June 2022 in Pointe-à-Pitre. The French overseas department Guadeloupe will be hosting the 23rd competition, offering a unique opportunity for the West Indies’ archipelago to showcase its time-honoured expertise in distilling sugar cane.
