Articulated taste, moderately sweet and fresh, almost liqueur, it closes with a persistence of bitter almond.
Curiosity
When talking about Oristano Vernaccia, it is impossible not to mention Silvio Carta.
From the early 1950s to today, the choice of this winery has mainly focused on enhancing this wine, the oldest in this area of Sardinia, with allegedly curative virtues and an uncertain origin.
The history of Vernaccia is similar to that of the vine and viticulture and its presence is assumed since the first development of human communities on our island. Its name derives from the Latin Vernum, spring and therefore rebirth, or from Vernacula or local.
A complex wine, almost alchemical, which excites and fascinates those who taste it; the perfect representative of the expression of this corner of the earth.
Tips
Excellent as a dessert wine, to be dared with oysters but perfect with croutons with bottarga.
